(2008) LAKE AFFECT
I was born and raised in Bay City, and have enjoyed Boating on the Saginaw Bay and the Great Lakes my entire life. I came across an old photo of me dressed in a blue & white sailor suit strapped in my car seat (still in diapers) pre-departure from SBYC aboard PC Floyd Nichols 42′ Connie “MANY” years ago. My grandfather always had boats, along with my father, and we (with my wife, Jamie) have continued the boating tradition with our own sons. Throughout my life, there has always been a SBYC burgee proudly displayed on a boat or on a wall in my grandpa’s, my dad’s and in our home.
I have recently retired from Dow & DuPont after a rewarding 32-year career as a Logistics Manager. We enjoy all of the great people and great friends we have made during our tenure at the Club, and looking forward to many more. I am all about preserving SBYC tradition, and very honored to be invited to run for a Board seat. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience to enhance the overall beauty and nostalgia of the Club.
