Boating came early to me, starting with sailing adventures with my father and uncle. Racing was the highlight of our weekends on Tawas Bay and continued most of my childhood and young adult life. I became the proud owner of a few different boats over the years, and most recently refitted a 24′ downcast that was a result of an impulsive eBay purchase out of Quebec. Currently, I am on the hunt for the next fine craft. As soon I moved to Bay City for work, I was set on joining the SBYC to fit my boating needs and it has been wonderful. Everyone has always been very welcoming, and for the past 10 or so years, we have been able to enjoy our time here, most notably the wonderful lazy sunny Sundays on the front porch. Serving on the board is a honor, and I look forward to enjoying the Club for many years to come, as it is a great place to bring friends and family.
